A citable answer paragraph identifies its subject, states the answer, and includes the qualification that changes its meaning. Make it understandable outside the page without pretending every sentence can stand alone.
Apply the idea
- Replace vague references with the product or policy name where needed.
- Put the relevant unit, currency, version, or region next to the value.
- Keep important exclusions in the same paragraph as the promise.
- Give readers a direct route to the underlying evidence.
Illustrative example: “The sample shelf is 58 cm wide; allow additional space if the wall bracket requires it.” That is more usable than “It fits small spaces.” Specificity helps a reader assess the claim.
A check you can run
Highlight the sentence most likely to be quoted. Check that its surrounding paragraph supplies the scope, and that the linked source supports precisely that statement.
