Add an FAQ when a recurring question is difficult to answer from the main page. The goal is to remove a real uncertainty, not to repeat the same keyword in several question headings.
Apply the idea
- Use support questions, sales objections, or observed task failures as inputs.
- Put essential facts in the main product content even if an FAQ also explains them.
- Answer exceptions directly instead of linking every question to a generic contact form.
- Remove questions whose answers merely repeat the introduction.
For a rechargeable lamp, “Can it stay plugged in?” may need a manufacturer-backed answer. “Why is this lamp amazing?” adds little. The useful distinction is whether a buyer can make a better decision afterward.
A check you can run
Review five recent support questions. Identify which cannot be answered from the current page, and add only those for which you have a reliable answer.
