Publish dimensions with units and a clear explanation of what was measured. A buyer deciding whether something fits needs assembled size, usable space, and clearance where relevant—not an unlabeled string of numbers.
What the shopper needs
- Label width, depth, and height individually.
- Separate product dimensions from packaging dimensions.
- Describe required operating or installation clearance.
- Keep conversions consistent and avoid false precision.
For a cabinet, a 60 cm external width does not establish that a 58 cm appliance fits inside. Wall thickness, hinges, and ventilation may matter. The question determines which measurement is useful.
A check you can run
Give a reader a hypothetical opening size and ask whether the product fits. Record every missing measurement rather than filling the gaps with assumptions.
