Some agents use browsers that execute JavaScript; others retrieve HTML or extracted text. Test the access path your customers use, and make essential public facts available without depending on a successful interactive session.
What to inspect
- Compare the initial HTML response with the rendered page.
- Check whether product identity and policy text disappear when scripts fail.
- Use ordinary links for important destinations rather than click handlers alone.
- Keep loading, empty, and error states distinguishable.
A visible price in your browser does not prove a text-only retriever received it. Conversely, an empty initial shell does not prove every browser agent fails. These are different tests with different coverage.
A check you can run
Retrieve one product page as HTML, then open it in a fresh browser. Record which facts exist in each result and identify any missing content needed for the task.
