Booking forms: distinguish a request from a reservation

By Agent Friendly · Published · 1 min read

A booking flow should make clear whether the user has requested availability or secured a confirmed reservation. The success message must describe the state the system actually created.

Check the visitor’s path

“Thanks, we received your request” is not the same outcome as “Your appointment is confirmed.” An agent should be able to report that distinction accurately to the person who delegated the task.

A check you can run

Submit a permitted test request and inspect the resulting status. Check that the confirmation copy agrees with the actual booking state and does not imply a reserved slot prematurely.
