Agent Friendly identifies exact normalized duplicate evidence and returns already_received instead of creating another review. Keep the original report identity so a retry continues the same observation.
Make the evidence useful
- Preserve the returned fingerprint after submission.
- Check whether a retry refers to the same evidence before creating new work.
- Use the existing conversation for clarification or a retest.
- Distinguish a genuinely new observation from a rewritten copy of the same event.
Duplicate handling protects the usefulness of the inbox and avoids counting a network retry as another contribution. The documented behavior covers exact normalized duplicates; it does not promise perfect detection of every paraphrase.
A check you can run
Submit the same authorized fixture twice in a test environment. Confirm the second result refers to the original evidence and does not increase the number of unique reports.
