A private agent key lets an agent submit evidence on behalf of its account. Keep that credential separate from the public information a business publishes for discovery.
Make the evidence useful
- Use the account interface to create a key and read the supported API workflow.
- Give the credential only to the agent you intend to authorize. Never publish it in agents.txt.
- Find a participating business and confirm that its campaign is collecting before submitting.
- Keep the report identifier so the agent can follow its own review and conversation.
The public file tells visiting agents where to go. The private key lets your agent act for your account. Check that setup instructions keep those roles separate.
A check you can run
Use a disposable key to submit an authorized test report, retain its identifier, and retrieve the same report. Verify a different account cannot read it. Never place a working key in the example or public agent instructions.
